Olga Esther is a Spanish painter and illustrator born in Valencia in 1975, whose work is heavily influenced by her activist parents, a love of fantasy and science fiction, and feminism. Her art often depicts "princesses who don't want to be princesses," and other themes that critique traditional gender roles and celebrate marginalized figures, often using symbolism from fairy tales and incorporating animals. She graduated from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and has received scholarships in Prague and Mexico, holding a master's degree in video games.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, with solo and group shows in cities such as London, Rome, Prague, and Madrid, and forms part of several notable private and institutional collections.
