The cliche, “the right place at the wrong time” takes a different lens in Daniel Dias’ “The Right Place at the Wrong Side.” Two protagonists stand just on either side of the other, separated by a window and its curtain, preventing their coexistence. The thin veil wraps itself around the woman, but she gazes beyond it, searching for the other side. The other figure is closer to the viewer but remains faded. Like strangers passing on the street, each has their own shields, caught between their own worlds. Instead of being bound to the time they exist in they are stuck behind the different worlds, or sides they came from.
