At this stage in my life, the memories of my teenage years are the most vivid. The Friendship Hotel, located not far from my residence, was a place my friends and I used to frequent. It almost seemed like a different world; a place time had seemingly forgotten, as if it were a relic from the Soviet Union. When I look back on that era from my current perspective, I find the absurdity of it all to be quite humorous yet romantic at the same time.
