Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Daniel B. Dias embarked on a journey of self-discovery at a young age when his family relocated to the United States. After completing his studies, he ventured to China, where he has resided and created art for over a decade. Dias's works reflect the amalgamation of these diverse cultural influences, prompting introspection on identity, spirituality, and the interconnectedness of our global society.
Dias earned his BFA in 2010 from Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, FL and his MFA at the University of Delaware, Newark, DE. His paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions across the United States and Asia, including Steven Zevitas Gallery (Boston, MA), Ridderhof Martin Gallery (Fredericksburg, VA), Zevitas Marcus Gallery (Los Angeles, CA) and Ascend Gallery (Hong Kong). His work has been published in New American Paintings and Friend of the Artist.
