The “Inside Her Eyes” show puts together five different female realities, five women from various places, very distant from each other, both culturally and storically speaking:
Leila Ataya (New Zealand), Afarin Sajedi (Iran), Francesca Romana Di Nunzio (Italy), Natalie Shau (Lithuania), Kwon Kyungyup (Korea). Five visions of the world and of female life itself, linked by a thin red thread of blood and passion and by the passing of time. Their secret is kept in their eyes and on their canvases.

The dark is illuminated by the light of the pearls in Leyla Ataya’s portraits and cut by the golden fishes that cross the deep sea of silence that surrounds Afarin Sajedi’s women, painted with dark oils on big canvases.

The night dissipates and turns into an icy dawn, giving birth to Francesca Romana Di Nunzio’s fairy creatures and the innocent snow queens of Natalie Shau, both of them main characters of a new and surreal mythology, that is not longer frightening, but herald of tenderness and seduction. The first light of the day illuminates the white bends that cover and discover the rosy Eastern girls, while they fill with their beauty the huge paintings of Kwon Kyungyup.

Like a story inside a story, the Italian artist Seven Moods portraits the painters in an imaginary living room, filled with their symbols and their very own creatures.
