Les Lalannes’ Granddaughter Makes Joyful Animal Sculptures Too

Born into a family of artists, French sculptor Clémentine de Chabaneix grew up in the studios of her famous grandparents, Claude and Francois-Xavier Lalanne. Clémentine, along with her twin sister Capucine, spent endless days, weekends, and school holidays with their famed family members, observing and absorbing everything around them. Now, de Chabaneix is finalizing a new exhibition of her own, which is set to open in early December in Paris. The show features more than 60 pieces, the vast majority of which dwell upon flora- and fauna-focused subjects not too dissimilar from that of Les Lalanne.
